In 2022 Rotala acquired Midland Classic (now Diamond Bus East Midlands), an acquisition that provided a logical extension to our existing West Midlands Bus Network, from which further growth could be targeted.
Based at our Burton upon Trent depot, Diamond Bus East Midlands is the principal operator in and around Burton, providing bus services to other nearby towns such as Uttoxeter, Ashby-de-la-Zouch and Lichfield.
A steady modernisation of the business and integration with Rotala processes and systems has seen vast improvements to Bus Operation. By drawing on the commercial expertise within the group, Rotala has focussed on improving service reliability and viability, ensuring a robust network can be delivered and sustained for this Staffordshire community.
Passenger information improvements have also seen the integration of service timetables, bus tracking and ticketing solutions with the exsiting www.diamonbuses.com website and Diamond Bus App.
Diamond Bus East Midlands has undergone over £1 million refurbishment of the Burton depot to improve staff facilities, modernise office accommodation and upgrade infrastructure to support the introduction of a zero-emission fleet of brand new electric buses.
The introduction of new modern fully-electric vehicles aligns with our commitment to invest in cleaner, greener vehicles, delivering more sustainable bus services to the region.
