Diamond team support local community charities to celebrate the people of Redditch

Diamond Bus are proud to continue working with local groups Bound Together CIC and Reimagine Redditch.

The partnership began in early 2025 to support a great community event celebrating the communities on the 57/58 bus route.

People from Matchborough, Church Hill, Winyates used creativity and art to share their memories of Redditch and of their, ’Journeys of home’, sometimes seen through windows of the Diamond 57/58 bus!

Bound Together CIC helped people create individual Thought Baubles representing their favourite Redditch places and memories, and artist Thomas Cross used these thoughts and recollections to create a huge community inspired mural for Redditch Bus Station. The mural was unveiled at “Jump on Board!” A fantastic day of discovery… bringing the people of Redditch together to celebrate their community with free family activities and half price family bus travel

Richard Bromhall, Programme Director for Reimagine Redditch, said: “We know that plenty of people in Redditch have really great creative ideas. Our Community Makers commissions bring together Redditch artists and community organisations to co-create the art they want, where they want it. With the help of Diamond Bus, you can ‘Jump on board’ to see the new mural at Redditch Bus Station!”

The partnership has continued with depot team members volunteering their time to help build and repair a local community sculpture.
